The Stieber AS 45mm freewheel is a non-bearing-supported, roller-type unit engineered for Ø45 mm shafts. It accommodates clutch overrunning speeds of up to 1000 rpm on the inner race and 1600 rpm on the outer race, delivering a maximum torque of 218 Nm with a drag torque of 11 Nm.

It is dimensionally compatible with 62-series ball bearings, simplifying integration with standard components. The inner race is keyed to the shaft, and the outer race is designed for R6 press fit into an H7 housing, which must remain structurally rigid post-assembly.

Lubrication and sealing must be provided externally, with oil lubrication recommended. The freewheel must be installed with external bearing support and allows axial misalignment up to ±S/2, offering design flexibility for overrunning, indexing, or backstop applications.
