The Stieber ASNU 17mm is a compact roller-type freewheel without bearing support, designed for integration with external bearings and sealing systems. With a shaft diameter of Ø17 mm, this unit supports overrunning speeds up to 2300 RPM and application speeds up to 3400 RPM. It transmits a maximum torque of 49 Nm and a drag torque of 1.9 Nm.

The inner race is keyed to the shaft for positive torque transmission. The outer race features n6 press-fit tolerance for assembly into H7 housings and includes side notches for added torque transfer. In cases where a K6 tolerance housing is used and structural rigidity is ensured, these notches may be omitted.

With an outer diameter matching the 63-series ball bearing profile, the ASNU 17mm is ideal for compact assemblies in indexing, overrunning, or backstop functions where bearing and freewheel components are combined within shared tolerance zones.
